Please note: Out of State waste is not accepted at any DSWA facility

Holiday Schedule

Types of Waste Accepted at DSWA Transfer Stations:

  • Municipal solid waste from DSWA licensed collection vehicles
  • Residential solid waste
  • White Goods – (items such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and other appliances) Refrigerant is removed by DSWA licensed technician and scrap metals are recycled.
  • Tires – (No more than 4 passenger-size tires per load at all transfer stations)
  • Household Yard Waste – Residents can dispose of grass, leaves, branches, and shrubs (must be separated from household trash). Click Here for more information about yard waste recycling
 Recycling Drop-off Centers

Residents are encouraged to use the Drop-Off Centers in their communities before disposing of household waste. There are Recycling Drop-off Centers at the Pine Tree Corners, Milford and Route 5 Transfer Stations. These centers are available during normal business hours.
