B         DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR ROUTE 5 TRANSFER STATION RECYCLING BUILDING – CONTRACT S-23-877-SR – The Committee recommends awarding the contract for the Design and Engineering Services for the Route 5 Transfer station Recycling Building to Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) as the most responsive proposer.

C. ENTRANCE IMPROVMENTS AT THE DELAWARE RECYCLING CENTER – CONTRACT C-23-879-ND – The Committee recommends awarding the contract for the Entrance Improvements at the Delaware Recycling Center to Eastern States Construction as the most responsive bidder.

 B. Entrance Improvements at the Delaware Recycling Center  Contract – C-23-879-ND –  Staff will make a recommendation to award the contract for the Delaware Recycling Center Entrance Improvements.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection- Newark Recycling Center

Household Hazardous Waste are collected from 10am-2pm. Household Hazardous Waste can include items such as household cleaners, garden pesticides, oil-based paint, nail polish, fluorescent bulbs, and antifreeze.

Electronics Recycling Available Monday-Saturday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Document Shredding Available the 1st Wednesday of each month, 10am-2pm

NO LATEX PAINT
Latex Paint is collected on the LAST Wednesday of each month, 10am-2pm

Document Shredding- Newark Recycling Center

AVAILABLE THE 1ST WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH.

Paper Shredding- Residents can bring up to 2 file boxes of personal confidential papers for shredding (financial and legal documents, receipts, and tax and medical records). Papers with staples or paper clips are accepted.

Recycling of electronics is available Monday-Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm

All events are restricted to Delaware residents and are held rain or shine

Budget Public Hearing

Pursuant to 7 Delaware Code, Section 6403, 6406, 6421 and other pertinent provisions of 7 Delaware Code, Chapter 64, the Delaware Solid Waste Authority will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the Proposed Budget and Statewide User Fee for FY 2024.

The Public Hearing is being conducted to enable the public to comment on the Proposed Budget and Statewide User Fee for Fiscal Year 2024. Following is the date, time, and location of the Public Hearing.

Household Hazardous Waste- Product containers marked with words, “Warning: Hazardous,” “Flammable,” “Poisonous,” “Corrosive” or “Explosive.” For example; household cleaners, garden pesticides, oil-based paints only, nail polish, fluorescent bulbs, or antifreeze.

Electronic Goods Recycling- Electronic Equipment such as, old computers, printers, CD players, microwaves, telephones, televisions, game boys, fax machines, answering machines, and VCRs.

Paper Shredding- Residents can bring up to 2 file boxes of personal confidential papers for shredding (financial and legal documents, receipts, and tax and medical records). Papers with staples or paper clips are accepted.
