Staff will make a recommendation concerning the proposal for the Purchase and Service of Two (2) New 52K Pound Bulldozers and Sale of DSWA’s Used Landfill Compactor and Used             Bulldozer at the Southern Solid Waste Management Center (SSWMC) – Contract No. P-25-921-SS.

Document Shredding-Cheswold Collection Station

AVAILABLE THE 1ST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH.

Paper Shredding- Residents can bring up to 2 file boxes of personal confidential papers for shredding (financial and legal documents, receipts, and tax and medical records). Papers with staples or paper clips are accepted.

Recycling of electronics is available Monday-Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm

All events are restricted to Delaware residents and are held rain or shine

Latex Paint Collection- Jones Crossroads Landfill

Residents can bring their latex paint to a collection in a quart, gallon or 5 gallon metal or plastic containers.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection- Delaware Recycling Center

Household Hazardous Waste are collected from 10am-2pm. Household Hazardous Waste can include items such as household cleaners, garden pesticides, oil-based paint, nail polish, fluorescent bulbs, and antifreeze.

Electronics Recycling Available Monday-Saturday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Budget Public Hearing

Pursuant to 7 Delaware Code, Section 6403, 6406, 6421 and other pertinent provisions of 7 Delaware Code, Chapter 64, the Delaware Solid Waste Authority will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the Proposed Budget and Statewide User Fee for FY 2026.

The Public Hearing is being conducted to enable the public to comment on the Proposed Budget and Statewide User Fee for Fiscal Year 2025.  Following is the date, time, and location of the Public Hearing.

Under Title 29, Section 10006A of the Delaware Code, the Public Hearing meeting will be held virtually meeting utilizing Zoom Webinar.  In addition, this meeting is open to the public at DSWA’s Administration Building (601 Energy Lane, Dover, DE 19901).  Information on the Zoom meeting can be found at dswa.com/calendar

C. Hauling of Leachate From the Central Solid Waste Management Center (CSWMC) – Contract No. S-24-912-CS & Hauling of Leachate From the Southern Solid Waste Management Center (SSWMC) – Contract No. S-24-913-SS

 The Committee recommends the Board award the contracts for Hauling of Leachate From the Central Solid Waste Management Center (CSWMC) & the Hauling of Leachate From the Southern Solid Waste Management Center (SSWMC) to Freehold Cartage, Inc. as the most responsive proposer.
